I am making African plates by making them entirely by hand, using wicker threads. The technique I use is a little different from the African plates. We combine wicker threads and paint over them. Me and my mom are painters. We design the patterns and colors ourselves. We prepare the paints ourselves.
The wall plates we make are resistant to sun and water. It does not fade in a short time, as in some African dishes. Hardness does not deteriorate.
